Injured at work? Or on your commute to work? You may be entitled to claim physiotherapy care under WorkCover
In Queensland, if you are injured at work, or during your commute to work, you are entitled to lodge a claim for WorkCover. Employers in Queensland are required to maintain a valid workers’ compensation policy and ensure a safe working environment. If an employee is injured, the employer must report the incident, support the worker’s rehabilitation, and must not terminate their employment within 12 months solely because of the injury.
WorkCover Queensland is the official workers’ compensation insurer for the state, providing financial assistance and medical support to employees who are injured at work. If you have experienced an injury or illness that is directly related to your employment, you may be entitled to have necessary treatment costs — including physiotherapy — fully covered as part of your approved claim.
Physiotherapy is vital for helping injured workers recover and safely resume their duties. Recent studies emphasize the deep impact of psychosocial factors on healing, giving us the practical tools needed to streamline recovery and achieve long-term success.
