After completing his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at University of Queensland in 2003, Tad began his career as a physiotherapist in a busy private clinic in Warner.

Mentored by experienced colleagues, Tad was able to further his knowledge and experience.

Developing a keen interest in treating sporting injuries, Tad completed a level 1 Sports Physiotherapy course in 2005.

In 2007, Tad started his career at Synergy Health Group.

In 2008, Tad completed courses in Clinical Pilates (DMA) and has since been our instructor for Clinical Pilates and taken a keen interest in rehabilitation work for lower back injuries in particular.

Tad has further special interests in sports related injuries, knee injuries in particular.

Whilst working here at Synergy Health Group, Tad took up the role of being the physiotherapist for the performers of the musical “Chicago” in 2009 – a six week role for the duration of the Brisbane leg of the Australia wide tour.

In 2010 he had the privilege of repeating the work for performers in the musical “Fame”.

Jake Pizzatti - Synergy Physiotherapy and Pilates

Jake Pizzatti

Physiotherapist

Jake graduated from the University of Queensland and has worked in private practices throughout Brisbane and London.

He has a keen interest in both sports and work injuries and assisting patients in their return to full function of their home and working lives, through a combination of manual therapy and exercise based rehabilitation.

Jake follows latest evidence practice and has developed his skills with training in Pilates (APPI and DMA methods), Dry Needling (advanced levels), musculoskeletal spinal pain, shoulder pain, mens & womens health and osteoarthritis.

He has worked with various sports teams and competitive social athletes.

In his spare time, Jake participates in an active lifestyle through surfing, running and various social sports.

Other hobbies include enjoying live music and travelling.

Liam Thompson - Synergy Physiotherapy and Pilates

Liam Thompson

Physiotherapist

Liam completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Newcastle University in 2006.

The first 7.5 years of his career were spent in Tamworth and Newcastle in Private Practice with Private Hospital components. This gave him the experience in rehabilitation from day 1 after surgery through to full recovery. He hasn’t seen the same rodeo injuries since leaving Tamworth or the amount of surfing injuries since leaving Newcastle.

Liam is very interested in sports and has provided sideline coverage to netball, touch football, rugby league and rugby union teams that have been sponsored by the clinics he has worked at.

Whilst in Newcastle he was lucky enough to work with the performers from Spiegeltent as they completed their national tour.

Since moving to Brisbane in 2014 he has been working as a civilian Physiotherapist to the Australian Defence Force at sites all over the country.

This involved treating and providing high level exercise programs to people who require a superior level of fitness and work in extreme occupational environments, including the RAR and fighter pilots.

Injury prevention, post-operative rehabilitation, sports and occupational injuries were his focus over this time.

He has a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and has completed training in Sports Level 1, Dry Needling, Mulligan and McKenzie Techniques.
